Mergings
While looking at a woven fabric tapestry, I had an idea. What if I wove two of my printed images together? Through a fair amount of trial and error, I have created art pieces that I truly love.
I start with printing two of my photographs identically, and then cut each into 1/4” strips, horizontally and vertically. I begin the weaving process, carefully lining up each tiny detail. The resulting image has both movement and texture, adding interest and complexity to the original picture.
